Money In The Air

When it come's to paintball, nothing is cheap. Just to buy a decent pair of pants or a jersey can be anywhere from 80-200$!!!! Yes 200$ is very extreme for a pair of pants to get dirty and ripped and beat up. But most people probably wouldn't do that. But aside from that, to get a decent mask your looking at paying at least 100$ new, and that is a necessity. Then you need your gun, and to play a tournament your looking at paying anywhere from 300-1500$. Then your going to need a hopper and that your guaranteed to pay 100-200$ again, then you need your air tank, which is about 200$ again. Take in mind, yes this is all brand new and most people do buy used. But that only takes off like 50-100$ per item, big savings yes, but in this sport it really isn't that big of a deal because it's still ridiculous. So now that your basically set up, it's time to hit the field. If your not on an organized team, and just playing your basic Sunday ball, depending where you go and if you do B.Y.O.P (Bring your own paint) or not, your looking at spending at least 100$. Just to play. And if you think about it, your basically shooting your money out your barrel of the gun. You payed like 70$ for a case of paintballs, and now your just blowing every single one out your barrel. You shot 70$ worth of materials into the air. So you might ask why we do this? Why do we spend so much money on such an under-estimated, over-looked sport? Because we love it, we don't like the prices, but we love the game. For some of us like me, I live for Sunday because I know I get to go out and shoot people and I love it. I love the rush of running with upto 1000 paintballs in the air at a time trying not to get hit, and then returning the favor back at them. I love everything about paintball, and it doesn't matter how often I play the rush, and the excitement is still the same. But it would be nice to cut the costs :D.

Great Day Of Ball

Well 2 days actually. This weekend was pretty filled with fun. Played with London Express CXBL team on saturday and did drills all day and really improved my skills. Then that night it was my birthday so we went and had a big bush party, that was pretty fun. Then went to sleep, and woke up and drove out to London again to play Express, again. But instead of drills we did scrims and again I really improved my game and was playing all over different positions and no matter where i was i was cleaning up the field it seemed. Pretty good day except for how sore I am now. Hurts to move anything.

what should i post?

what should i post?

Deathcore

A lot of people have blogs based on this topic of deathcore. It is such a stereotyped genre, and i've also commented on a other blog with the same topic, but it's just such a frustration to the good bands in the genre and the listeners. My biggest upset with the genre is the stereotype that your song or band have to have such a criteria of how you play, what you play, how you look, your band name, and everything along with it. I hate the way every band sounds the same and just have some garbage singer and then when people listen to them they stop liking the genre and say its not metal and blah blah. It's a good genre but i agree there are alot of shitty bands in the genre. Suicide Silence, Carnifex are some of the examples of the good deathcore bands along with Thy Art Is Murder. But people still keep to their biased opinions of it and it drives me insane because if you just opened up your mind and didn't think of anything else but the music your hearing, you will probably find something you like, and that goes for any genre of metal. It's so huge it's impossible to find something you wouldn't like because there's just so much variety. It's one of those things thats so big and yet so small because not many people realize just how big it is. But the stereotypes that go along with this genre are false, yes about 98% of the bands in the genre are shit, but don't stereotype the bands that do it well.

This one guy...

Couple weekends ago we played against Toronto Rage CXBL and their MXL, RXL, CX4 farm teams. And this one guy, that was playing was probably the biggest dick there. I would make it into the snake alive and he would be at basically the farthest bunker away from me he could have been, run straight at me while im shooting him countless times, and what does he do? He keeps on running and shoots me. And because there are no real refs, there is no one to call penalties or tell me to stay in the game. And he did this quite a few times during the day.

My Outiline!!

Ok so here is what my assignment for this blog is.

1. Choose a topic. Research your topic in order to have enough information to post on your Blog. You should have at least 4 links to other sites relevant to your topic. Design the page with the audience in mind.

2. Find an online article or web site related to your subject matter and give a critical response as well as post a question to encourage others to respond and generate discussion.

3. You must respond to two other blogs at this point.

4. Write a one page report on the success/failure of your blog. What was your goal for this blog, did you achieve it, how, and why?

Ok so there is it. Now personally I want this to succeed so if you happen to stumble on to here, post ideas, leave comments, subscribe, pass this on to your friends whatever I don't care, but I want this to go somewhere and I probably am going to keep this going after this course is over just for fun. So if you happen to have stumbled onto this, please feel free to help me out anyway possible!

Thanks guys, more to come tomorow.
